John has supported vulnerable children, young people and adults since 1996 in a variety of settings. He is the Case Holder for Mendip and the surrounding areas.

John joined the team in March 2020.

John has worked with vulnerable young people and adults since 1996, starting in the youth service in Portsmouth.  John worked as a detached youth worker, and a youth club manager.  He was also a part of the training team delivering youth work training to staff and drug training to other agencies working with young people in the city.

Since moving to Somerset in 2006 John has worked with young people in the criminal justice system, supporting them back into Education, Training and Employment.  From there he moved to Project Manager at YMCA Mendip and then onto Turning Point, where he trained and managed peer mentors who had lived experience of addiction, and finally before coming to PROMISEworks he spent time working with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children as part of the leaving care service.
