Louise Wallace

Area Coordinator - South Somerset

Louise is so excited to have joined the team and her goal is to help provide mentors for as many children and young people in South Somerset as possible.

Louise Wallace

Louise originally trained as a PROMISE mentor in 2006, whilst working as a dispensing assistant for Robert Frith Optometrists and when asked about her experience says:

"Mentoring fuelled my desire to work with Children and young people, so in 2007 I changed career and for the next 10 years worked in a school helping vulnerable children and young people. I trained as an HLTA and an ELSA before leaving to join Route 1 advocacy and independent visitors as a Route 1 coordinator and Lead trainer.

I love supporting volunteers in their work with children and young people and creating relationships, which in time become friendships.

I am an avid believer that positive relationships are key to positive outcomes for children and young people. The impact a mentor can have on a young person is often life changing.

As a trained children’s advocate, I am passionate about the importance of hearing the voice of the child."
