    Our history

    Our history

PROMISEworks recruits, trains and supervises local volunteers who provide long-term mentoring support to some of Somerset’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people.

The charity began the delivery of mentoring services in April 2017. Already, volunteer mentors are working one-to-one with approximately 80 young people and the charity has exciting plans to double this number over the next two years.

Mentors are supported by a small team of professional, paid case holders (volunteer coordinators) and administrative staff.
